Families Forward
Families Forward helps local families in crisis achieve and maintain self-sufficiency. The comprehensive services include career coaching, life-skills education, and food assistance. Additionally, although Orange County is one of the most affluent areas in the U.S., hundreds of families find themselves without a home and with their basic needs unmet. In 2010, Meritus held a substantial food drive and collected non-perishable food items to provide families with the sustenance they need to take the next steps in self-sufficiency. Stand Up For Kids
Stand Up for Kids helps homeless and street kids stabilize and improve their lives. In cities across America, volunteers find street kids and assure them that someone cares about them. The focus goes beyond street outreach and extends to deterrence and resource programs provided in schools and via the internet. Stand Up for Kids maintains a volunteer outreach force in: Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Santa Ana, Irvine, Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo, Orange, Anaheim, Fullerton, and San Clemente. Websites For Heroes
Websites for Heroes supports America’s troops by keeping them connected to their families at home. Websites for Heroes builds secure, interactive websites for families to share photos, videos, calendars, and more. A personalized website enables America’s heroes to stay active in their families’ lives and gives families the opportunity to show their support. A donation to Websites for Heroes gives our heroes the chance to hear their children’s laughter, see a loved one’s smile, and engage with their families in a safe and secure interactive environment. Merchants that choose to contribute to Websites for Heroes can do so by switching to Meritus. Meritus promises 10% of the profit of credit card processing fees are donated with every transaction.
