Named Finalist for 2012 Customer Service Manager of the Year

MERITUS PAYMENT SOLUTIONS NAMED AS FINALIST IN 
2012 STEVIE® AWARDS FOR SALES & CUSTOMER SERVICE

6th annual awards will be presented on February 27 in Las Vegas

 

SANTA ANA, CA – January 27, 2012 – Meritus Payment Solutions was named a Finalist today in the Customer Service Manager of the Year category in the sixth annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.

 

The awards are presented by the Stevie® Awards, which organizes several of the world’s leading business awards shows including the prestigious International Business Awards.

 

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” the final results will be announced during a gala banquet on Monday, February 27 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Finalists from the U.S.A. and several other nations are expected to attend.  

 

More than 1,000 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted to this year’s competition, an increase of almost 30% over 2011.  Finalists were determined by the average scores of 93 professionals worldwide, acting as preliminary judges. 

 

Scott Lamoureux, Operations Manager, has been named a Finalist for Customer Service Manager of the Year. Scott upheld Meritus’ client-first mentality when the company faced unprecedented growth in 2011. The number of new accounts and the associated processing volume grew to the degree that Meritus was ranked the 4th Fastest Growing Private Companies in Orange County, California by the Orange County Business Journal. Scott identified potential bottlenecks in the current processes and implemented a streamlined and automated client application submission process. He has also been instrumental in improving service metrics, call quality, and training. The changes resulted in greater efficiency across all departments, which led to increases in revenue, new hires and advanced training programs.

More than 100 members of seven specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements from among the Finalists during final judging, to take place January 30 - February 10.
