DAN EDDY NAMED DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
SANTA ANA, California – May 27, 2011 – Meritus names Dan Eddy as its Director of Operations. As Director of Operations, Mr. Eddy will have visibility in all aspects of Meritus’s operations with a focus on application processing as well as improvement of the infrastructure of the Client Services Center. Meritus’s rapid growth, including mobile payment solutions and international capabilities, motivates Meritus to maintain its client-first mentality. Mr. Eddy will spearhead this effort, ensuring exceptional service for both sales partners and clients by architecting and deploying the Meritus First Team.

Mr. Eddy joins Meritus with over 10 years of experience in the Merchant Services industry. Before joining Meritus, Mr. Eddy oversaw operations for the LinkPoint/YourPay Gateway support teams at First Data. Through many product launches and data center migrations, Mr. Eddy’s primary focus was on product and data stability for merchants and vendors alike. As Mr. Eddy began to excel in the card-not-present segment of First Data, he was asked to perform technical and sales trainings across all First Data sales channels resulting in rapid growth of the YourPay Gateway.
The result of Mr. Eddy’s success as a trainer earned him a reputation as an expert advisor to merchants and ISOs throughout the industry. Mr. Eddy left First Data to become an independent consultant and worked for numerous Merchant Services ISOs. During his time as a consultant, Mr. Eddy honed his contact center skills and developed an expertise in specialized contact center solutions.
After a few years of successful consultation, Mr. Eddy found a great opportunity to dive back into the corporate world by joining iPayment Inc. There, he had direct oversight of all call center operations with a focus on retention. The result of his leadership and guidance was an immediate improvement within the infrastructure of the call center as well as a substantial increase in retained accounts.
Mr. Eddy comes with a reputation of sustaining positive revenue, improving the quality of customer service, and building the appropriate infrastructure providing scalable solutions for businesses of all sizes. Now at Meritus, Mr. Eddy will lead Meritus’s effort in supporting clients beyond what merchants have come to expect from typical Merchant Services providers. Meritus’s First Team delves into the merchant’s business flow to maximize merchant profits while keeping them safely within processing guidelines. With highly refined business analytics tools, Meritus First Team takes the guesswork out of a merchant’s processing trends.
